DISTANCE LEARNING is often defined as self-paced learning without interaction with teachers or other students. It relies on the internet and is a type of online learning.  Recently it is being redefined to include online interaction with teachers and other students.  


HYBRID LEARNING is a combination of in-person physical instruction and online learning activities, and is synonymous with BLENDED learning.  Most hybrid learning today is web-based interactive activity that supplements in-person instruction and interaction with teacher and peers.  The online activity can be live teacher led or self-paced.
